Lincoln Hotels & Suites have decided to close their brief 1 week early as they have already selected the logo they want to use.
This is good news and bad news. It means the customer liked a design so much they didn't care about any others that might be submitted! But if you were still working on a design you might be disappointed and, regrettably, some of your effort may have been wasted. However, I think you would be less disappointed if you'd completed the design and then not won. Closing the brief early has hopefully saved you time you would have spent completing the logo (with no chance of winning) and maybe you can re-use the concept and artwork elsewhere! If a customer is adamant they have chosen a logo (and no further logo submissions will change their mind) then I think it's best to close the brief and let you all know so you are not wasting your time.
The decision by Lincoln Hotels & Suites speaks volumes about the quality of the chosen design. Congratulations to Carol Chai (freelance designer from Singapore) for her winning logo design:
Thanks,
Alec
