If Famous Logos Were Honest

You know the saying "beauty is only skin-deep"? Many multi-billion dollar companies can afford to hire the crème-de-la-crème of the design world to reflect an impeccable image.

Famously, technology and anti-virus software company Symantec spent over US$1b on its rebranding, and as this list will show, many other companies are not that far behind.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'd be aware that FIFA is engulfed in a massive corruption scandal and BP has been fined $18.7B after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010.

From the Sony hacking scandle, the Takata redesign inspired by a product recall, we asked our designers to redesign big brand logos to reflect their public behavior in this fun tongue-in-cheek parody graphic design contest. Enjoy!

MAKE MY OWN AWESOME LOGO

FIFA

Judging by recent press, FIFA indeed seems to be hiding some rats.

FIFA has been less about the ball, and more about the press pitch lately

Shell

Shell will give us all a taste of hellfire, if we're not careful.

BP

Five years later and irreversible environmental damage and economic impact to the Mexican Gulf region, BP agreed to pay $18.7 bullions in fines in July 2015.

Baltimore

This East Coast US city is standing up for its citizens.

Manchester United

Appropriate for one of the most valuable soccer clubs in the world

Coca Cola

The average person should consume less than 25 grams of sugar per day. With 9 grams of sugar per 100 ml, Coke's logo redesign seems like a true reflection of reality.

McDonald's

McDonald's has led to many a rear quarter turning into that shape.

Apple

"Software Update" - Apple's new logo reflects the need to constantly update its products.

Ikea

Some assembly required.

Takata

Takata re-design was inspired by its Airbag recall in 2013.

Monsanto

Bio exterminator sure has a ring of truth to it.

Sony

Apparently not as safe as we'd like to think
