From man-bun to mullet, braids to the bob, there have been all sorts of fashion fits and faux-pas' in hair design.
And heading up the hair-do (or don'ts) list is often Hollywood's A-list community.
In a place where style is everything, many celebrities are prepared to set their own standards. While some choose a conservative look, others are renowned for a more daring ex-hair-bition.
One thing none of them want to be associated with however, is a bad hair do. Sure, crazy is good, funky is fun, but bad is a no no.
Same with politicians and royals, who are almost exclusively more reserved in their presentation and wouldn't risk a fashion backlash with a shocker of a haircut.
So if none of the above are prepared to grow out some ludicrous locks, the creative community at DesignCrowd (and formerly Worth1000.com), are happy to step in and wear the embarrassment for them.
Using their Photoshop skills, dozens of designers have worked their magic to showcase some of the most recognizable faces in the world with some surprise salon styles.
Didn't think, Tom Cruise, Barack Obama or even Queen Elizabeth II could pull of horrendous hairdos? Well you're probably right. Donald Trump? Well maybe...
Scroll down to see some of the scariest, strangest, and dare we say, almost stylish, hairdo ideas, all of which came from our 'Hair Don'ts' Community Contests.
